quality
Quality management is applied to all aspects of a contract from an initial review through to contract close-out. A nominated project engineer will take responsibility for quality issues in line with the agreed Contract Plan, ensuring that regular planned meetings involving all aspects of the contract are addressed. Any quality issues arising from contract meetings will be actioned by the nominated project engineer. Auditing of the effectiveness of the Contract Plan is undertaken by periodic review from the Quality Director to ensure compliance within the overall Quality System. The Quality Manual provides all related information and guidance to the selection of quality procedures required for each specific type of contract.
health and safety
The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 imposes a statutory duty on employers to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of their employees, whilst at work. Altus Innovations is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all its employees. The policy of the Company is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for each employee and to provide the necessary information, training and supervision to enable work activities to be carried out safely. The Company accepts that is has a responsibility for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by the activities of the Company. Whilst the management of the Company has a statutory duty to ensure that all reasonable and practicable steps are taken to maintain a safe and healthy workplace, each employee also has a legal obligation to take care of his or her own health and safety, and the health and safety of others. The successful implementation of this policy, therefore, requires commitment from all employees, and neglect of health and safety requirements will be considered a serious disciplinary offence. Details of the organisation, arrangements and procedures for health and safety will be set out clearly in policy documents. Adequate arrangements will also be maintained to enable employees to raise any issues or concerns they may have in relation to health and safety. This policy will be monitored on a regular basis and reviewed annually, to ensure that it's objectives are achieved, and it will be revised to reflect any changes in legislation, the organisation, or to the nature and size of the Company's business.
