Through life support of any contract is vital to ensure that the capabilities of any offshore project can be utilise to it's full potential. Altus recognise that every operator may require assistance whenever a project reaches a critical stage during operations, be it increased or decreased production, end of life of system components or re-configuration of existing systems.
The Amerada Hess platform AH001 required the installed power generation package to be re-configured to suit amended platform equipment.
Altus staff were requested to provide design back-up and commissioning staff to ensure that the project could be undertaken without loss of production to the operator.

Altus staff provided the design verification of the proposed re-arrangement from marked-up drawings issued by the client. From this verification, a full design package was built up to ensure that each aspect of the project would not jeopardise production.
Production of the detailed de-commissioning procedures for the redundant equipment, and the commissioning procedures for the new generation configuration then followed.
Altus staff were contracted to undertake the de-commissioning and re-commissioning of all items of plant affected by the project, which was achieved successfully.
Our staff also produced the final verification reports and assessed the suitability of the new system in terms of platform production requirements.
