The skills and combined experience of Altus innovations personnel have been applied in a number of marine and offshore applications, including the design and integration of systems for naval vessels, cruise ships and ferries.
The LSL class ship RFA Fort George underwent a Refit Programme at BAe Systems's Inchgreen Drydock in Scotland. Our staff were contracted to undertake the supervision of contract electrical installation engineering staff, and to provide technical support and assistance for electrical procurement during the refit.
To achieve the timescale's and installation requirements, our staff were required to ensure that every electrical installation aspect was programmed and undertaken as required to dovetail alongside other trades during the refit programme

Technical appraisal of all electrical aspects was undertaken to ensure that the material and labour requirements would be available and enabled to meet the full refit programme.
Supervision and co-ordination of the electrical installation sub-contractors to ensure that the programme remained clear to achieve the install targets and that there was no impending threats.
Planned technical evaluations of the proposed materials being ordered, and that material deliveries were scheduled to suit the programmed installation requirements.
Technical liaison through approval procedures with all relevant bodies, including the client, MOD, classification and statutory authorities.

Altus staff provide undertook the task of supervision of the electrical installation contractors which involved close liaison with both other engineering and installation departments and and equipment vendors and sub-contractors.
Technical support and project management was provided to the contractors throughout the term of the refit from initial removal of existing systems through to final commissioning.
