Altus innovations personnel undertake a maintenance and emergency call-out scheme with various fleet operators. One of these undertakings operates in conjunction with the Scottish Executive and it's Fishery Protection Agency.
The Fishery Protection Agency operate a fleet of vessels around the coast of Scotland to ensure that commercial fishing regulations that apply to the waters around the country are enforced and to ensure the protection of existing fish stocks.
Over a long period, Altus staff have been contracted to undertake various remedial and repair works to ensure that the fleet maintain their strict schedule when docked for turn-around periods in their home ports around Scotland.

Altus staff have replaced, repaired and re-calibrated various systems, and system components, during the lifetime of the fleet's vessels. These projects have ranged from small additions to existing systems, to full survey and detailed proposals for major machinery such as CPP and power generation.
Operational problems become apparent as systems performance degrades through the vessels expected lifetime. Altus personnel have experience in fault finding from major system malfunctions right down to printed circuit board level failures.
We have undertaken projects on various items of plant including circuit breakers , generators, switchboards, synchronisers, fire detection, main machinery, CPP, control and alarm systems and individual items of equipment.

Altus innovations staff are working on an ongoing basis with the Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency to ensure that their fleet is maintained at the highest level available for their requirement to provide a continuous patrol presence around the coasts of Scotland.
